Privacy Policy

PingDay uses your data to provide activities, reminders and calendar sync that you choose. Last updated: October 30, 2026. Operator: PingDay.

Data we use

We process your account identifier, name, email and provider profile photo; activities, schedules, reminders, friends, groups and poll responses you enter; and operational data needed for notifications and sync. If you separately connect Google Calendar, we access your available calendar list, your selected calendar and its event details, including titles, times, locations, descriptions, recurrence and reminders, together with credentials needed to keep the connection working.

How we use it

We use this data to sign you in, display and manage activities, send notifications, support the friends or groups you choose, and sync your account across devices. After separate Google consent and calendar selection, PingDay may read, create, update and delete events in the selected writable calendar to provide two-way sync. Background sync runs periodically, and the app also offers a manual sync action. Signing in with Google alone does not authorize calendar access.

Sharing and storage

Private calendar events are not automatically shared with friends. When you intentionally create or send a shared PingDay activity, the selected recipients can see the information needed for that activity. Google/Firebase services help us authenticate users, store data and deliver notifications. We do not sell Google Calendar data or use it for advertising. Account and activity data are stored in PingDay services and on signed-in devices. Google Calendar connection credentials are held on the server; refresh tokens are not sent to the phone app. Access is restricted to what is needed to run the service.

Disconnect and deletion

Disconnecting Google Calendar in PingDay removes the credentials used for future sync and stops future syncing. Previously copied events in either PingDay or Google Calendar remain until you delete them. You can also revoke PingDay's access in your Google Account's third-party connections. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your PingDay account data, contact us below.
